VILLA PARK, Ill. – The Union officially introduced its brand to the Villa Park community during Villa Fest on August 22, giving residents their first look at new renderings, development milestones, and what they can expect as the community moves toward opening in fall 2027.

The Marquette team enjoyed meeting hundreds of local residents, property owners, business owners, renters, and community leaders throughout the day. Several Village officials also stopped by as the team shared more about the vision for The Union and its role in the continued evolution of downtown Villa Park.

Visitors were among the first to see newly released community renderings and learn more about the development timeline. Construction is currently underway at 110 S. Villa Avenue, with pre-leasing expected to begin in May 2027 ahead of the first residential occupancies in fall 2027. Phase I is scheduled for delivery in September 2027 and will include 155 apartment homes along with key amenities including the pool, fitness center, clubroom, coworking space, management office, and residential parking. Additional residences and improvements will follow through early 2028.

Villa Fest also gave the team an opportunity to have a little fun. Attendees received branded Union fanny packs to use during the festival and could enter a raffle for a swag bag featuring gift cards from local Villa Park businesses, functional Union-branded merchandise, and other giveaways.

The event marked an important milestone for a project designed to become part of the fabric of downtown Villa Park. The Union will ultimately bring 238 apartment homes, approximately 7,500 square feet of retail space, and more than 400 parking spaces to the community (including 94 public parking spaces), along with improvements that strengthen connections to the surrounding downtown and trail network.

“We were excited to finally bring The Union brand directly to the community and share more about what is coming,” said Matthew Mehon, Director of Marketing at Marquette. “Villa Fest gave us the opportunity to meet future neighbors, answer questions, and hear directly from the people who live and work here. We look forward to continuing that engagement as construction progresses and we get closer to welcoming our first residents.”

Villa Fest was just the beginning. The Union team plans to continue engaging with residents, businesses, and community organizations throughout construction and leading up to the community’s opening in fall 2027.
